Hear me, fellow nerds, your help is needed. Reilly Brown, a noted Deadpool artist, has often said that life can give you some ups and some downs. And this last week has taken that saying to a whole new level On Suday, Reilly and his wife welcomed their first child into the world.
A week later his house is on fire.
Thankfully, the fire did not burn their building, thanks to a literal firewall, but the smoke and water damage were extensive. This is further complicated by having a new born in the house. Smoke inhalation is very dangerous for developing lungs, so all their things will have to be replaced.
Brown has issued a plea- not for a donation- but that if you looking for some comic book art for your walls, hit him up.
From Brown himself:
I’ll humbly direct you toward my art dealer’s site, www.AnthonysComicBookArt.com/artistgalleryroom.asp?artistid=1172 – a few extra sales there could go a long way. Also, I have a number of comic conventions and appearances coming up this year, and if you have a mind to get a commission from me, contact me through my website, www.ReillyBrownArt.com , with the name of the convention and the word “commission” in the subject line and I’ll put you on a reserved commission list. The money from those commissions will mean more to me now than they will at the time of the show.
Also, I started an online Gumroad store, where I’ll be selling my convention sketchbooks, SKETCHES: THE ART OF REILLY BROWN vol 1 and 2, as downloadable PDFs for whatever price you wish to pay. Even if it’s just a dollar, every little bit will help.
Check out, y’all. You can get some amazing comic original art AND help a dude out. It’s For The Win for everyone. That doesn’t happen every day.
Which piece do you have your eye on? I like any of the Captain America pieces (he’s mah boy!)
