It’s been three Terminator movies, two terms as Governor, and a while since the original Kindergarten Cop came out, but in today’s meta, a sequel could be behind any movie’s door at any time, so hey, why not this one?!

Dolph Lundgren steps into Arnold Schwarzenegger’s shoes to fill the role of a tough-cop-turned-lunatic as he tries to handle not only a horde of 5-year-olds, but also a much scarier foe: liberal, politically correct teaching environments (I’m not even making that up. That’s what they said at EW).

Perhaps understanding that this movie might not have the best of runs in theaters, it appears to be a direct-to-DVD release, coming to a Redbox and Netflix queue near you on May 17. Quick! Watch the trailer before it’s already in the WalMart $5 bin.

Don Michael Paul (Jarhead 2: Field of Fire) helms the Universal Pictures Home Entertainment movie, which also stars Bill Bellamy (White Collar).

See the trailer above. Kindergarten Cop 2 arrives on DVD and Digital HD on May 17 and will feature deleted scenes, a gag reel, and a segment titled Kindergarten Cop 2: Undercover.
