Ok, maybe that’s not the ear-splitting alarm news that I just made it, but dammit, I was THIS close to getting a tier-6 artillery piece in World of Tanks and now I can’t even watch Skyfall on the XBox One Blu-Ray player because somehow even THAT is tied to the XBox Live network.
Anyway. Word on the street is that XBox Live Core Services is down, along with a bunch of other multiplayer systems, and it’s affecting everyone. ESPECIALLY ME!
Gamespot reports “a number of users are also having trouble opening digital games on Xbox One. I’ve run into this myself, with my system unhelpfully telling me that various games can’t start “for some reason” and providing me with an error code for which there is no information on Xbox.com.”
For their part, Microsoft offers this advice to people like me who are now just mindless internet zombies, bereft of our digital brains: “Are you having a tough time launching previously purchased content or purchasing new content, Xbox members?” the page asks. “We’re aware of the issue and our team is working hard to fix things as quickly as possible.””
